is it possible to make the grids bigger? seems like a lot of space is wasted, i use a lot of candidates since i'm still learning, maybe others would find this helpful as well, we're only doing two puzzles per page, so let's max it out, i say...

so i am the only one who feels like the grids are too small? look at the last page of this week's booklet, it's tantamount to mockery, you guys, wtf? i know i am not a competitive player, so if that means my opinion doesn't matter, i understand, but i can't be the only person you've lost by this admittedly hilarious hazing or whatever... i thought this was meant to be an inclusive group, too bad in today's times one must get political or extreme to be (or not to be) heard.. not even a token staff response to my prior note,,,i'll not bore you with it again, good luck to all

I haven't seen this year's competition booklet.
For a 9*9 sudoku, my preferences are:

-between 10-11 cm : it is the best format
-between 9-10 cm and 11-12 cm : still ok
-between 8-9 cm : acceptable, but too small - ok for easy ones
-between 12-13 cm : acceptable, but too large
-less than 8 cm, more than 13 cm : not good

It is pretty funny, that you haven't seen the booklets and still have a need to inform everyone what are your preferences...

From my point of view, the grids are just fine. I also use many candidates, but still found enough space inside/outside the grid. Please note that bigger grids may disturb those who need more calculations.

Anyway, Nikola+Karel+Prasanna, thank you for smooth competition. Puzzles were great (I like the patterns made of initials), the results were published immediately and I also appreciate you mention the number of pages in the PB. Great job!

Well, the aim was not to inform everyone what are my preferences. I only thought that the player who opened this thread deserved an answer. But of course, I'm not a GP organizer, so this was unfortunately the only answer I could give and I agree to say that my preferences aren't an interesting subject.

I'm sorry about your unanswered message. Opinions on the grid size are probably different, as in everything else. From my experience the grid size of 1x1cm per cell is considered to be standard for many organizers. In last two years in Sudoku GP the size of the grids is slightly smaller, but this is a living matter and can be subject to discussion.

i still think there is some room for more space, just try moving up one notch the last two months, or in an instruction book and see if anyone likes it better or less
