Can the numbers repeat in the diagonal. Say 2-3-2.

No,they can't repeat in diagonal.Actually,this point is solved the diagonally consecutive sudoku.

Numbers can be repeated in the diagonal. Combination 2-3-2 is possible. In that case both pairs of diagonally consecutive numbers will be marked by a line.
